Our mission
The Bata ng Calabnugan, Inc NGO was founded in 2005, by Italian national Francesco Izzo, his wife Flora Aguit who is from the Philippines and a host of volunteers with the idea of providing a safe and caring environment for orphaned and at-risk girls in Sibulan, Dumaguete City and the surrounding areas in Region VII on the Island of Negros, the Philippines.
Bata ng Calabnugan is the local association that works in conjunction with Isla ng Bata, the non-profit organization founded in 2004 in Rome by Francesco Izzo in order to raise awareness and raise funds for the construction of the family home and the maintenance of the girls welcomed.
Support the rights of every child
Our work
Assistance, medical support, schooling and socialization activities are carried out within the Family Home.
The activities are managed directly by the staff of BNC, Inc. and by local collaborators, with the help of volunteers trained in the office of Isla ng Bata – L’isola dei Bambini Onlus: a synergistic collaboration, which allows for the best organization of the work and an efficient distribution of resources.
The Family Home in Philippines
A flourishing lawn, many animals, a well-kept greenhouse, colorful drawings on each wall and the joyful laughter of our little girls.
This is Bata’s House, which opened its doors in 2010 in Calabnugan (Philippines) thanks to the commitment of Francesco and Flora, two of the founders who live permanently in the house, and a group of volunteers who walk along the same path.
Isla ng Bata’s mission is to help children in need, give them a home to live in, guarantee them a quality education and the care they need to grow up.

The solidarity challenges of our dreamers have great objectives: to cover the most important costs for the structure, for food, for medical care and for the education of the girls we welcome.
